The Town Line Inn 735 Broadway Malden, MA 02148 Phone: 781-324-7400 Fax: 781-397-8501 map there are a few even seedier motels within very comfortable drunken walking distance, and you can always crash underneath a table somewhere. the Town Line is the preferred venue, it is right next door to the Maldencon venue, and all the rooms have fridges for storage of refreshing beverages should you require one after the bars close. friday night people will be arriving anytime from 7pm on, most likely a bit later. friday will be informal, no announcments, just bowling, drinking, and hanging out. saturday everything happens from 12pm - 8pm, more likely when people wake up. this is the main event at maldencon, all the talks, and more drinking will happen here. saturday night activities will be decided spontaneously based on people's ability to walk. sunday morning from 9am - 2pm or so is the MIT swap meet, after which nobody knows what will happen. but there you have the gist of the maldencon weekend schedule. there is a snackbar at the Town Line Lounge, with a menu slightly more legible than this one. Rain, the nightclub portion of the Town Line has a slightly nicer menu, as well as a chef on staff who will be able to serve more exotic custom dishes should any vegetarians/vegans/fruitarians/breatharians require it. there will be quite a lot of these, and maybe if i'm really feeling motivated i'll try to decipher the ad-hoc drink list scribbled messily onto a piece of paper for me by our liason at the Town Line. more likely, you don't need to worry about this.
