The world of Sarthia orbits in an average solar system around a yellow G-type star known to the Sarthians as HranaDos. Along with Sarthia, six other planets circle the star, and an asteroid ring lies between the orbits of the third and fourth planets.
In order from closest to furthest, the planets are:
Dromiceio
The innermost planet of HranaDos, Dromiceio orbits swiftly, and when it's not just a dark spot before the star, its a flaming red planet in color.
Sarthia
The second planet out from HranaDos, this is the homeworld of the Sarthians. The planet has a slight axial tilt, thereby resulting in seasons. But, because the planet is a little closer to its sun than Earth is to Sol, Sarthia is warmer with snow being unknown except at the icecaps and high in the mountains.
Sarthia has but one moon, a heavenly body known as Aralthea, and as a result has both ocean tides and both solar and lunar eclipses
The landmasses are varied with three continents, the Hrunnito continent to the north, the Hrunsaya continent to the south, and the smaller Daitrinas continent towards the eastern end of the Hrunnito and Hrunsaya continents. A landbridge used to exist between the Hrunnito and Hrunsaya, and the cliffs between them for long distances mark where they were once joined. Between the ends of Daitrinas and the other two continents are series of island chains.
Climates upon Sarthia vary, but tend to cover the usual range. The majority of the terrain are jungles, consisting of ferns, tree ferns, and cycads, and forests, consisting of evergreens and some deciduous trees, like oaks. In general, where it is cooler, evergreens tend to thrive moreso than the ferns. Other types of terrain include, but are not limited to: damp swamps, grassy plains, dry deserts, and lofty mountains.
Avimid
The third planet out from HranaDos, and just beyond Sarthia. The planet has a slight atmosphere, enough to form thin clouds and obscure the surface, as well as free water. With a telescope it is possible to see the icecaps and the shallow seas. With a higher quality one, one can even see a faint tracery of rivers down into the seas. Around the planet are a pair of moons and a thin ring, and these often form configurations which completely change the location of the shallow sea and so, most of the surface is like a beach being constantly wiped clean by the waves.
Dactylus
Just beyond the asteroid field is this bluish-green, ringed planet. The very definite ring that distorts the light reflected off this planet causes it to blink and flicker like the lights of a Dactyl Aerie.
Tyrannus
A larger gas giant, the fifth planet of HranaDos swirls with angry red clouds and in myth is said to be forever in conflict with the sixth planet out, Brontos.
Brontos
The largest planet of the system, nearly three times the size of Tyrannus, Brontos, the sixth planet and a gas giant, swirls serenely with mottled grey clouds.
Ankylos
Invisible to sight, and the furthest of the seven planets out from the center, Ankylos is a small icy world on the edge of the solar system. The tracery of icy plates upon it's surface led to it's being named after the armored dinosaurs.
